Since 2015, SoloProtect and Suzy Lamplugh Trust have partnered together to push for effective and impactful change relating to employee personal safety, supporting organisations in implementing sustainable occupational personal safety frameworks to better protect their colleagues.

In the period 2016 – 2020, SoloProtect:

• Donated over £50,000 to Suzy Lamplugh Trust,
• Named its Sheffield headquarters after Suzy,
• Took part in fundraising activities such as the Vitality British 10k race,
• Made training space available to the Trust, and
• Ran various awareness campaigns in support of the Trust’s work to boost personal safety education.

In 2021, we were pleased to renew our commitment to the trust, agreeing to:

• Make a donation to the Trust for every one of SoloProtect’s personal protection devices sold, and
• Provision the Trust with a lone working solution free of charge.

What is Suzy Lamplugh Trust?

Suzy Lamplugh Trust was formed by Suzy’s parents after she tragically disappeared whilst working alone as an estate agent in July 1986. This happened in broad daylight, while she was showing a client around an empty property in Fulham, London.

There were no fingerprints or signs of struggle and, despite extensive media coverage of the disappearance, an extensive police search and reconstruction, Suzy has never been found.

She was presumed murdered and legally declared deceased in 1993.

Suzy Lamplugh Trust was set up by Suzy’s parents, Diana and Paul, in 1986 following her disappearance. The Trust has become a leading personal safety charity and is also now a leading authority on stalking.

They provide training on lone working, personal safety and stalking, as well as providing support services, and campaigning to reduce the risk of violence and aggression for a safer society.

Marking 35 years since Suzy Lamplugh's disappearance
