SoloProtect and Security Central announce strategic partnership to improve US lone worker protection

International lone worker company and established monitoring company announce channel agreement.

Leading lone worker company, SoloProtect, Coppell TX, is announcing a key partnership with Security Central, Statesville NC, in a move to promote better safety of mobile/lone workers across the U.S, and to deliver comprehensive, 24/7 support for users with leading device technology and 24/7 monitoring support.

Lone working – anyone carrying out their job role outside of close contact or direct supervision by a colleague – is common in all industries. As a result, worker safety is increasingly moving up the corporate agenda. This is reflected in the fact that nearly 2,000,000 American workers are victims of workplace violence each year [1] and US private sector employers report nearly 2. 9 million non-fatal, workplace injuries and illnesses annually [2].

SoloProtect delivers innovative solutions and worker protection technology, including dedicated devices, that have been supplied to over 250,000 lone workers around the world. SoloProtect devices are discreet in nature – and enable a worker to raise an alarm without needing to break eye-contact or reach overtly to request assistance. Discretion is often valuable in any social-risk, or potential duress situation.

Security Central provides wholesale monitoring services to residential and commercial enterprises, is family owned, and has been in operation for over fifty years. The organization now monitors over 350,000 connections on behalf of over 1,500 customers, providing monitoring and dispatch services from two UL listed facilities in North Carolina.

Security Central customers will utilize the SoloProtect ID device – a discreet, ID badge equipped with cellular technology linking to their 24/7 monitoring support. When an alarm (called a 'Red Alert') is opened, a call is made from the device to the Monitoring Center, where a dedicated operator can assess, verify and respond on the worker's behalf – including dispatch to the authorities where appropriate. Security Central is set to roll out its worker protection solution at ISC West, April 11 – 13 and will be located on booth 24004.

Caroline Brown, VP of Business Development, Security Central, commented:

"We recognised the importance of lone worker safety, and the natural fit with our business and values. We're excited to be offering this new service to our customers and look forward to show-casing at ISC West next month."

John Broady, SoloProtect CEO, commented:

"We’re delighted to be announcing the partnership with Security Central. Organizations increasingly have a better appreciation of risk, and it's our aim to help them educate their workforce. Our proven lone worker technology, paired with Security Central's monitoring service affords robust and reliable, 24/7 worker protection."
